Fire safety law in Northern Ireland changed in 2006 , adding new provisions for fire safety.

It removed the need for fire certificates now making employers directly responsible. Placing a statutory duty on them to carry out a fire risk assessment and ensure that staff are trained in fire safety procedures and equipment.

You are breaking the law if you do not have this in place and properly recorded.
